Since its founding in Ambato in 2012, Felpel Ecuador has forged itself as an innovative brand in the production of personalized stuffed animals, conveying emotions through each design. Started in her youth by Alejandra Ulloa, who, with the support of her mother-in-law, learned the trade and built a company that now exports to several countries. Over the years, Felpel has grown without losing its Ambato essence and its philosophy centered on human impact.
A School to Rewrite Stories
As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), Felpel took a bold step to sow hope where it is most needed: among single mothers and widows in Ambato. They created a Maquila School, a textile training space with a technical and emotional focus, designed to provide not only job skills but also community and support.
The initiative responds to a clear vision: to empower women who, with strength and determination, seek to rewrite their destiny. From cutting and sewing to quality control and designing corporate plush toys, they receive comprehensive training in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Impact with Heart
Opportunity in Action: Mothers who never imagined a second job opportunity now produce plush toys for export, learn about entrepreneurship, and earn decent incomes.
Support Network: The school hosts self-esteem and leadership talks, fostering confidence and camaraderie. It's not just technical training; it's a collective embrace.
Sustainable Vision: Felpel integrates these women not only as collaborators, but as exponents of its corporate culture. They are part of the creative process, the emotional process that goes into each plush toy.tiva. Son parte del proceso creativo, del proceso emocional que va en cada peluche.
Inspiring Voices
María, one of the participants, a single mother of two, shares:
“I found a family here. I learned something new, and now I can offer a future to my children.”
This testimony reflects the heart of this school: dignity, hope, and transformation.

Why this story matters
Connect with the purpose: Felpel consolidates its image as a sensitive brand committed to its community.
Real stories, real emotions: a project where the impact surpasses the product.
A replicable model: the Maquila School can serve as a reference for other companies with a social vocation.
