She learned everything she needed to start producing stuffed animals from her mother-in-law, who became her mentor and teacher. Felpel has been exporting 5,000 pieces every 60 days to Costa Rica for 10 months. Furthermore, she projects her sales to close at US$170,000 in 2023.
